Activities

The main objective of ViaNiños is to enable street children in Ecuador to create a better future. To this aim, ViaNiños has carefully selected a number of partner organizations and projects in Ecuador and works intensively to support them. ViaNiños supports these partner organizations financially as well as through sending volunteers.

In order to raise awareness about the work of ViaNiños and to collect donations for the projects in Ecuador, the various ViaNiños Action Teams across Europe organize information and charity events and sell Ecuadorian handicrafts.

Public relations and fundraising

• Information events
• Information stands at festivals or markets
• Charity events such as Concerts, Plays, Film days / evenings, Parties, Barbecues, Brunches which raise money for ViaNiños
• Sales at events organized by schools, universities, churches and associations
• Sales of handmade cards produced in Ecuador (Minimum order: 20; Price per card: 2,50€; please click here to see the card designs)
• Producing and sending newsletters
• Fundraising (writing funding applications, Aid organizations...)

Supporting the partner organizations

• Financing salaries (Social Workers, Psychologists, Teachers)
• Buying equipent (classroom furniture, educational materials, sewing machines)
• Administration and transfer of donations

Another activity carried out by ViaNiños is sending volunteers to work at our partner organizations in Ecuador.
